How to report animal cruelty

1. Document what you see (safely)

If it is safe to do so, photograph or video the animal and the conditions. Note the address, date, and time. This evidence is critical for law enforcement.

2. Call your local animal control or sheriff

Animal cruelty is handled by law enforcement in Okanogan County. Contact your city animal control first — if unavailable, call the Okanogan County Sheriff at 509-422-7232 #4.

3. Contact Colville Tribal Animal Control for reservation areas

For incidents on the Colville Reservation, contact Colville Tribal Animal Control directly at 509-978-9792.
