WHAT WE DO

TOAR is dedicated to supporting pets and families through a variety of essential programs aimed at improving animal welfare in our community. Our services are designed to reduce pet overpopulation, promote the health of animals, and ensure pets have the resources they need to thrive. Below are the key programs we offer:

Free Spay/Neuter and Vaccine Clinics

TOAR’s Big Fix Clinics provide free spay/neuter, vaccine, and microchip services. These four-day events help over 1,000 pets per clinic, preventing unplanned litters and reducing pet overpopulation. Our vaccine clinics also limit the spread of preventable diseases, ensuring animals stay healthier and safer. In 2024, TOAR served over 2,100 animals through these vital clinics.

Pet Food & Supplies Distribution

We provide pet food and essential supplies to families and rescues in need. This program helps pets remain with their families and supports rescues in providing care for animals awaiting adoption. In 2024, we distributed over 120,000 pounds of food and supplies.

TOAR offers financial assistance for urgent veterinary care to pet owners facing financial hardship, as well as grants to support local rescues in their mission to care for and rehome animals. In 2024, we provided $43K in funding to support these efforts.

Emergency Veterinary Funding & Grants

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

Our TNR program offers a humane solution to managing feral cat populations. By stabilizing colony numbers and improving the health of colony cats, we help reduce the spread of disease and prevent unplanned litters, benefiting both the animals and local neighborhoods.

Transfer Partnerships

Through strategic partnerships with adoption organizations across the state, TOAR facilitates the transfer of animals to shelters where they have a better chance of finding forever homes. In 2024, we successfully transferred 464 animals, giving them a second chance at life.
